Rationality is a method of handling reality and a standard of reliability necessary for producing truth. It's going beyond subjective attacks and describing something with explanations.

Standards of rationality are deteriorating in society. Instead of explanations, the operating standard is, "just trust us" while we promote our values and causes in place of objective reality which is the same for everyone.

Irrational persons will go on and on about how much they know and how wrong someone else is without a word of explanation. They assume that brilliance only needs to exist inside their own heads, while they can't show us what it is.

Rationality is a process, not an opinion. It is making relationships between realities to determine consistency. Even if relationships are in error, the process allows the errors to be corrected. Omitting the process is a guaranty of corruption.

Absence of relationships between realities creates dissociated reality, where the pieces conflict with each other. Dissociated reality is like a bag of marbles. It is nonfunctional and destroys attempts to create rationality.

Rationality is in the objective sphere, not the subjective sphere. Objective means the universal reality outside one's own mind, which is the same for everyone.

Rationality is required for constructivity as problem solving activity, because all of the pieces must fit together properly to accomplish anything. One hundred percent renewable energy is irrational. It isn't physically possible and never will be.

Rationality is diminishing in society

Everywhere, journalists and activists are bitching, because someone isn't solving their problems. Bitching doesn't say what the problems and answers are. People are supposed to be solving the problems themselves instead of forcing someone else to. Reason applied to objective reality is required to solve problems. Why aren't the bitchers solving our problems instead of blaming someone else?

There is only one truth based on one objective reality, which is pinned down through the material universe. Getting more than one version of the basics is a separation from and conflict with the one truth based on the one objective reality.

Rationality through a properly applied reasoning process produces the one truth and nothing else. It does not result in two versions of reality. And it proves.

Academics have a tendency to trivialize. Part of the reason is because they don't have that problem. So they get too mechanistic and not practical enough. Their philosophy of logic is that way—a little more mechanistic than practical.

Where academics go wrong is in assuming the process of rationality depends upon acceptability of claims. Acceptability removes objective standards. What is acceptable to ignorant and corrupt persons is not what is acceptable to constructive persons.

Instead, rationality proves by making consistent relationships between realities. Consistent relationships are independent of acceptability or values. There could be some dispute over a relationship or two, but never over the whole process of rationality. The process of adequately making relationships ends corruption and overwhelms corrupters with undeniable truth. Corrupters try to end real rationality processes for this reason.

There is no lie or corruption that can be explained with a significant number of consistent relationships to surrounding reality. In fact, the definitive meaning of a falsehood is its conflict with surrounding realities. Therefore, adequately showing the surrounding realities always exposes the falsehoods.

Stating relationships between realities inherently includes openness and accountability. Corrupters do not want attention drawn to their falsehoods, because they will not stand up to open evaluation.

Rationality is not effective at combating ignorance, when ignorant persons cannot see the relationships in surrounding realities. But ignorance is a separate question which needs to be addressed in a different manner. What we see in social fantasies is ignorance at the starting point overwhelming rationality.

As always, the starting point is critical in determining the result. The classical example is relativity. It has no valid starting point for several reasons. If the starting point is accepted, infinite contrivance follows with no objective reality to base anything on. Persons who argue relativity tend to skip over the invalid starting point, and all arguments go in meaningless circles for that reason.

Something similar happens with social fantasies. They are the product of ignorant and unqualified persons who should have nothing to say about the subject. Rationality gets nowhere with them, because they cannot understand the points being made. Why should persons who have never studied an iota of science in their lives be imposing their ignorance onto others and calling other persons anti-science? Such a starting point is a guaranty of corruption.

If you just argue with corrupters, walled off from accountability to anyone else, they will deny that one and one equals two. Ending the falsehoods requires showing a wider audience the rationality with openness and accountability.

The Magic of Darkness

When rationality is applied to a question, a lot of explaining is required. When claims are made without explanation, abracadabra, magic solves all problems. But only until concrete results are required.

As fantasizing takes over social realities, the magic of darkness charts the course. It means superficial claims are made with no explanation. If explanations were required, the fakery would fall flat. But corrupt standards do not require explanations with claims.

In fact, corruption thrives on not-so-bright persons skipping over standards of rationality and trying to pretend realities into existence, such as renewable energy, electric vehicles, self-driving, etc. As social standards deteriorate, and corrupters take over processes, a lot of time and money is spent on futility which should be totally predictable. But corrupt persons have to see it to believe it. They have to go through wasteful processes and get to an end point, before they can believe that their fantasies are absurd.

Claims without explanations (fantasy realities) are portrayed as superior to rationality, because there are no complexities with fantasies. Without explanations of complexities, contrived reality is spotless perfection. Spotless perfection means superior to rationality.

It's the path that is the problem. The path of contriving without rationality is a guaranty of failure. Rational persons require higher standards from the beginning. But corrupt persons drift from one corruption to the next without ever admitting that their contrivances are failures. To do that, they have to exploit someone else's results. Eventually, the exploitations run out, and the failures of contrivance run aground.

Numbers Promote Irrationality

Frauds love numbers. Numbers put them on an equal basis with someone else's numbers, while rationality does not.

Fraud and truth are not equivalents. They don't look the same. Fraud must be concealed and misrepresented, because exposure as accountability shows the contradictions.

Rationality shows the contrast between fraud and truth. Eradicating the rationality is the goal of frauds. Numbers are a method of doing that. They replace rationality with meaningless contrivances.

In science, numbers are given a meaning by their method of measurement and context. Fraud numbers have no meaning; they are contrived for combatting rationality. The fakery of 100% renewables is the primary example.
