The Cuba Fraud

February 28, 2020

It's nice that the Cuba fraud has been in the news lately, since Bernie Sanders mentioned it, because the subject keeps getting more and more fraudulent as bigots rewrite history.

Supposedly, Cuba should be a capitalistic democracy like the U.S. For what reason? No other country can do what the U.S. does. Even Europe can only mimic the U.S., because similar conditions do not exist anyplace else. Is Cuba supposed to be a center for mining and manufacturing with 50 diverse states?

Cuba was nothing but an entertainment center for American partiers when Castro took control. The laborers lived in abject poverty. What Castro did was kick the entertainment industry out and gave the country back to the workers. The ninety five percent of the country that was doing the work was better off, while the rich ran to Miami. Now, the partying has to be done in the Bahamas instead.

So the U.S. enforced an economic blockade around Cube to force it to be a capitalistic democracy like the U.S. Why should people be deprived of an economy and livelihood to be like the U.S.? The purpose certainly wasn't to benefit the workers, when an economic blockade made their lives more difficult. Does that mean the purpose of making other countries like the U.S. model is to drive the working class into poverty so the rich can take over everything for their partying?
