Raw Food Diet

The Gag Mechanism  ▼

April 17, 2022

One way to understand a raw food diet is to find out what bureaucrats have to say about it and then reverse their statements. Bureaucrats say, the only thing a raw food diet does is produce fewer calories. They don't know how many calories people eat. They also say, fat equals calories consumed minus calories burned up; so reducing fat requires more exercise. Increased exercise causes more fat to be produced, because slave laborers needed more fat during human evolution. In other words, bureaucrats never heard of regulation of metabolism.

A raw food diet is vastly superior to usual diets. One of the reasons is because that diet evolved over 40 million years with the ancestors of humans, which largely means monkeys climbing trees. Monkeys needed to be light weight to climb trees; so their raw food diet burns up energy with very little fat production. Of course the micronutrients as vitamins and minerals are more available in a raw food diet, except that a few additions are needed; and the raw proteins are getting harder to find all the time.

The raw food diet is much more than an improvement in nutrition; it's an alternative type of physiology. Patterns of physiology are stored in DNA to be reused forever after. DNA can store patterns for hundreds of millions of years. Mutations are prevented from occurring in normal patterns; and only in areas which need improving are mutations allowed to occur. If mutations occur in the wrong places, they are excised out and replaced with the correct nucleic acid bases. That's possible, because the double strand of DNA always includes an extra copy in one of the strands.

An example of DNA storing information is two tiny bumps on the bone below the front teeth of humans. Those bumps can be felt with the tongue. They resulted from ancient fish which used hooks to catch prey. The hooks evolved down to irrelevance and could not totally disappear, because there was no longer an evolutionary advantage to making them disappear.

Mammal evolution would have resulted from early land creatures going into the oceans and evolving into boney fish and then coming back out and evolving into more complex land creatures. Other types of fish do not have bones, which includes sharks, because the gravity of land existence was needed to create bones. Then the boney fish which moved back onto land evolved into mammals. The land creatures that did not come out of the oceans (the second time) could not evolve into mammals and needed to produce eggs, because the leap was too large to switch from eggs to live young. But coming out of the ocean allowed such a large leap, because the DNA had to evolve in a drastic way, which turned off the mechanisms that prevent mutations from occurring in the necessary areas.

Since mutations are not allowed except where necessary, there are physiological patterns stored in the DNA from ancient ancestors; and those patterns can be used as needed. The monkey-physiology pattern still exists, and it is used when a raw food diet creates the appropriate signals.

The result of a raw food diet is to become highly energized, while fat falls away. Nutrients are channeled into energy production instead of fat production.

Getting enough protein is not easy with a raw food diet. Decades ago, eating raw nuts and seeds was the method of getting raw protein. Those sources are mostly unavailable now days. Part of the reason appears to be that nuts and seeds are now being channeled into processed foods, which people are eating more of.

Therefore, a substitute that seems to be suitable is cheese that is mostly protein and little fat. It seems to sustain a raw food physiology, which is logical, since monkeys included milk for youngsters. Mozzarella (string cheese) which is low fat is usually the most available and suitable type of cheese.

Raw fruit and raw vegetables do not mix well for digestion. Generally, raw fruit must be eaten alone. Sometime later, raw vegetables can be eaten. Cheese generally mixes ok with fruit but works better with vegetables.

Theory indicates that a raw food diet should correct anorexia. There is a physiology that goes with anorexia. A lot of cooked and processed food is not well suited for human physiology. Some of that physiology makes eating undesirable. So it seems that if anorexics were to eat some raw fruit and later some raw vegetables, they would find eating to be desirable.

There is another strange twist to the monkey diet. When palm trees produced bananas, they left steps along the trunk of the trees for moneys to climb up on and get the bananas. Climbing banana trees was so easy, that monkeys could put on fat from bananas. So bananas and other foods show a tendency to increase fat production. Grains are that way, at least for persons of European history, because their ancestors had to work in fields for about twelve hours a day and needed a lot of fat, while they ate grains. There are signals in foods that turn fat production on or off.

Raw food and vegetarian diets tend to be low in minerals such as zinc, copper, manganese and iron, which can be taken as supplements but is not easy to do, as the metals tend to react with food creating indigestion.

Plant evolution reduced the mineral requirements of plants to every extent possible as a method of allowing the widest possible environments for growth. Animals did the opposite in exploiting minerals to facilitate biochemical reactions.

Yet plants are complex biochemically, while animals are simplistic biochemically. Since plants don't need motion and have plenty of energy from sunlight, they have plenty of latitude for complex biochemistry.

Since animals need a lot of ATP for motion, they reduced all other biochemistry to simplicity as a method of directing their physiology toward rapid ATP production for motion.

Borrowing vitamins and proteins from plants while accumulating minerals is how animals simplified their biochemistry. Carnivores then compounded the borrowing process over herbivores.

Plants tend to pick up minerals from the soil, even when they don't need the minerals, because their roots are not highly selective. Simple absorption works better for roots than high selectivity would, because special proteins are needed to create selective absorption. The result is that plants will have small amounts of some minerals which they don't need, while the amounts vary with soil conditions.

Plants have very little zinc, which means vegetarians are low in zinc. But zinc disrupts copper metabolism and creates a copper shortage. Copper is difficult to take being a strong oxidizing agent which reacts with food. So the solution is to take zinc in the mornings and copper in the evenings. And then take copper with no food other than a small amount of white rice, because oxidizing pure starch is not as problematic as oxidizing more complex nutrients.

The Gag Mechanism

Human ancestors developed a hiccup mechanism and then added a gag mechanism to it. The hiccup mechanism started as a need for water. Other influences might have been added over time, but probably not much, that is, until the gag mechanism was added.

The gag mechanism inhibits eating dangerous food. It's an extended mechanism, after taste and smell indicate which foods are safe.

The hiccup and gag mechanisms are linked together, because there is so much human complexity that a lot of linkage occurred between mechanisms. Evolution cannot sort out the interacting factors well because of the extreme complexity that has developed. All evolution has gotten so complex that the contradictions cannot be resolved and all biology will become extinct in 2-10 million years independent of what humans do. Changes in environmental conditions cannot be adapted to easily at the present time due to the extreme biological complexities.

The gag mechanism tends to become noticeable with age but not noticed by youngsters. It shows up as an inability to swallow after eating some types of food. It can be a serious situation; and some persons have died from it. When I first noticed it around age sixty, there wasn't an apparent cause or solution. But it kept getting worse; so I had to theorize the cause and solution.

Theory indicated that the gag mechanism was caused by some types of food creating the reaction with the result of protecting jungle-dwelling ancestors from dangerous food. Therefore, the theory indicated that ultra safe food would correct the signal. The safest food for jungle dwellers would have been sugar. So I tried sugar as the fix and found that it totally removes the gag mechanism in seconds. A half of a spoonful of sugar being swallowed stops the gag mechanism instantly.
