Those who suggest that social media needs gatekeeping are partially right; but they are wrong in assuming the rest of social media should be kept. Obviously something needs to be done about misuse of social media. Yet no one is going to properly arbitrate the matter. There is no correct way to arbitrate someone else's reality. To a large extent the unsolvable problem occurs because social media itself should not exist. It was designed for the purpose of railroading social realities away from rationality in properly determining what reality is. Social media is not needed for entertainment and sending pictures around. Social media is designed for corrupting methods of handling information and replacing the real internet with information corruption procedures. Power mongers do that. They create fraud for the purpose of destroying rationality, because rationality generates truth and exposes incompetent corrupters for what they are. Relativity had that purpose in physics. Fake global warming has that purpose in replacing science and technology with fakery which incompetent frauds can arbitrate while leaving a large part of society without adequate energy and transportation but with exorbitant prices. Rationality is the only proper way to relate to reality. That means realities are evaluated by determining relationships between realities. Then the correct relationships reinforce each other, while the incorrect relationships diminish each other, and the result is truth evolving forward. Rationality occurs when claims are explained. Explaining shows the relationships between the realities. The most important evidence for truth is in the consistent relationships to surrounding realities. Truth can be defined as the reality which consistently relates to the unified realities which make up life. Life can be defined as unified reality. It means unifying reality is how problems are solved and life is sustained. The internet was supposed to have been a source of information. It was once called "the information super highway." People could search the internet for information. But as social media replaced the real internet, the search engines became nonfunctional for information purposes. From day one of the internet, power mongers were at wits end for "getting the crazies off the internet." They were in a panic in preventing people from having access to information, because power mongering is dependent upon railroading reality into fraud. Social media was their success in destroying social realities. The problem is that the whole purpose of social media is to reduce human communication to corrupt distraction. Every element of corrupt distraction is part of the same process of railroading social realities into the worst motives that can be brought out as a substitute for social responsibilities for staying informed by finding out what reality really is. Tweeting is part of the same problem. How could it not be when it is the only thing Trump did for four years in running the government? Tweeting is the equivalent of sending likes and dislikes, since the size of the message is limited to nothing more than that. Anyone who sends likes and dislikes is part of the problem. They are stripping out the evaluation of realities that is needed for social responsibilities. Social forces moving in the direction of Nazism is the problem. Even the persons who are opposed to the Nazi trend and trying to promote democracy become part of the problem, when they use tweeting to allow a medium to exist which strips away responsibility for rationality. The degradation of reality through anti-rationality processes is what created fascism and put Trump in power. It occurred through social media and tweeting, while degraded standards of journalism followed the trend. It's the purpose, because it's what power mongers keep promoting. What they promote is the purpose.
