Getting Post Office Wrong

The Post Office is supposed to make a profit, while corporations get bailed out with trillions of dollars of taxpayers' money.

The Post Office had a difficult task fine tuned like a sewing machine. Conservatives didn't want the lower classes to get small packages delivered efficiently, so they are trying to destroy the process by requiring it to cost four times as much. With razor sharp competition, the Post Office cannot survive interference.

Trump's political hacks assume they are going to make the Post Office leaner. There is a barrier created by statutory laws requiring delivery of mail to every address. A degree of volume is required to justify the deliveries. Competitive prices are needed to keep the volume up.

Cutting the volume would result in less efficiency. Yet the conservative hacks assume they can produce austerity by cutting, as they have been doing in third world countries forever.

The Post Office has been focussing on small packages delivered the last mile, which is what it is designed to do and other carriers have difficulty with. There is very little paper mail anymore due to electronic communications. Yet conservatives are trying to remove the small-package business from the Post Office by making the price noncompetitive (increasing the price by a factor of four, Trump said).

A stamp would need to cost about ten dollars, if Trump got his way. In fact there is an asymptote where more expense means fewer items until nothing exists. The Post Office was working against that asymptote, while conservatives are trying to push it over the edge. asymptoteThey are destroyers of life masquerading as fixers of human existence.

It seems extremely strange that incompetent know-nothings expect to push a magic button for every solution, as if studied and experienced specialists were the ruination of man.

Conservatives pretend that they are saving mankind from the Post Office, as if they were stopping terrorism. It shows what infantile fakes conservatives are. And it shows their motives. They gave corporations $3 trillion dollars during the Trump years and now pretend that the Post Office is supposed to make a profit rather than provide a service.

It also shows the inability of conservatives to add and subtract. To multiply the cost of packages by a factor of four, where everything on planet Earth is on razor margins is to take the P.O. out of business, while they claim they love the P.O. and the consumers.

And it shows the motives of making life more expensive for the lower classes. Why not have the corporations and the rich pay the extra amount? Because the lower classes are supposed to bleed some more. To love the Arian race is to get rid of the worthless eaters.

When conservatives forced $3 trillion onto corporations, which they didn't need, it was to stimulate the economy, which didn't happen and was an impossibility. Giving one tenth that amount to the lower classes to spend would have created a red hot economy. The only significance was to lavish power mongers with unneeded wealth. They had to use it for stock buy-backs, which used to be illegal, because it makes insiders wealthier through graft at the expense of everyone else.

Bigots have their own set of purposes. Normal purposes contradict bigotry purposes. So normal purposes must be eliminated before bigotry purposes can prevail.

Getting rid of normal purposes requires squandering money, so it doesn't get used for solving problems which the lower classes could benefit from. Squandering money to take pennies from the needy is the only thing conservatives are trying to do with their in-the-face attack upon the Post Office.
