Sanctimonious Power

May 12, 2021

Sanctimonious power creates a lot of force behind corruption. What it is is an assumption that reality and rationality are for fools. If so, power is the alternative. Yet power corrupts. That means it creates problems for everyone else.

Since corrupters assume there is no alternative to power, power becomes sanctimonious. The persons who assume power is the only alternative to rationality assume they are being deprived of something by opposing their mongering of power.

On top of that, rational persons acquire the indirect power of truth along with the power of constructivity and relevance. But corrupters assume rationality does not produce constructivity and relevance, so rational persons are getting a free pass for producing the result of fools.

So the unfairness seems to multiply in the assumptions of the perpetrators of sanctimonious power. Having no relationship to reality or rationality, power is supposed to come out of the fairness of existence. Depriving the perpetrators of something that is totally arbitrary seems like the height of unfairness.

Power is like the economy to perpetrators of sanctimonious power. It's the equivalent of the income needed to meet expenses. To be deprived of arbitrary power is the equivalent of being shoved out of the economy.

That assumption generates a lot of hate. To be shoved out of existence is the height of injustices to the perpetrators of sanctimonious power. Why them, when their primary enemies are given free power, no strings attached, for doing nothing but being fools in their attachment to rationality? It's like the Mafia being given free access to everything, while the persons who work are dealt with like slaves.

It's a lot of work mongering power, and the persons who promote rationality do none of it. The least deserving get the favored treatment for doing nothing relevant.
