What Degradation Is

March 1, 2022

Degradation is the methodology of corruption. A methodology is a pattern that can be repeated. Corrupters are highly dependent upon such patterns, since they cannot evaluate to determine results. They find a pattern that seems to work and become dependent upon it.

One of the characteristics of corrupt patterns is that they drift. Since there is no evaluation involved, corrupters have no realization that their patterns are drifting.

The result is that the patterns of corrupters conflict with surrounding realities and even the purposes which they are used for. It's analogous to using a dog whistle routinely and taking it to a grocery store to buy groceries. Corrupters cannot understand the contradictions.

Degradation is never a constructive thing. (Just joking) But corrupters use it as a substitute for constructivity, because there is a predetermined slot that must be filled with something.

Efficiency is an example. There are always demands upon efficiency; but corrupters are totally incapable of determining what efficiency is, let alone producing it.

Austerity is the most extreme example of fake efficiency. Supposedly, stripping away most of the demands will reduce expenses and increase efficiency. That's like taking one wheel off an automobile to make it more efficient.

Real efficiency is improving adequacy and effectiveness. It taxes rationality and capabilities. So corrupters try to meet such demands by stripping down a process, which includes such things as ripping off employees and trying to get more work out of them. Dejoy claimed to be increasing the efficiency of the Post Office by getting rid of automatic equipment.

Obviously, corrupters are not capable of functioning constructively, which results in degradation of their activities. But they also require degradation as an ethic due to a contempt for the standards of rationality required for constructivity. Rationality rubs them the wrong way, and degradation rubs them the right way.

The result is an absurdly obnoxious image for everything corrupters do. They don't look right. Ravaging everything around them doesn't look right in a human society that requires problem-solving activities.
