It takes knowledge to create knowledge, because knowledge builds upon knowledge. Therefore, wide disparities develop between existence of knowledge and some other method of doing things.

This is why QAnon went off the rails. It drew in and exploited other methods of doing things.

But less visible examples are overrunning the social order. Paths are being charted in conflict with knowledge.

Electrifying the transportation system looks as ridiculous in engineering terms as QAnon in politics. The difference is that most persons do not see into the engineering world. A few numbers would show the problem; but looking at numbers is a knowledge based activity. It's not how the world works anymore.

Knowledge is irreplaceable, because ordered existence must be aligned upon knowledge. Without knowledge, disorder results. Yet, incompetents zoom down the paths of disordered existence as if they were getting someplace.

The demands of life must be met with knowledge, or problems don't get solved. Why then do incompetents keep doing something that doesn't work? They learn substitute methods of doing things even while they don't work.

To do things that don't work requires a substitute method of measuring results. Winning at nonconstructive activities is the substitute. Incompetents learn how to win by miniscule criteria in disregard for real results.

The social media made QAnon what it became because of the reinforcements for superficial winning which had no relationship to relevance. It explains how minds work in the absence of knowledge.

The way it works is to pick realities for exploitative purposes rather than functional purposes. Exploitation is controlled by environments. Realities are disigned to meet the demand for superficial winning. Like-minded persons aggregate to reinforce the result through the power and security of numbers.

This is how conservatives went off the rails surrounding themselves with like-minded persons with no relationship to objective reality. They allowed corrupters to tell them that the election was being stolen while they had no contact with objective reality to tell them otherwise.

Being out of contact with objective reality does that. It sends the unwary into oblivion through nonsensical realities which do not add up. Paths become aligned upon winning through exploitable realities in place of functional realities. Knowledge is supposed to fix that problem but being out of contact with objective reality removes that option.

This is why incompetent corrupters cannot be told. To tell is to rely upon knowledge. Corrupters don't operate that way. They want to know how to exploit, not how to increase their knowledge.
