Generally speaking, nonscientists do not grasp the nature and complexity of science. That's because social realities became extremely superficial creating the assumption that science must be similar. The subsequent assumption is that any impression in the area of science must be fact.

Science is imposed upon the public much as QAnon but with more complexity. One reason is because the less knowledge incompetent corrupters have, the more they think they know. Relatedly, the more complex a subject, the more incompetent corrupters get it wrong.

The general assumption is that science is just as superficial as everything else in the public domain. Even for incompetent scientists, the subject matter is superficial. Frauds reduce everything to word salad, even in science. That means the methodology is not proper, when word salad replaces real descriptive methods. The two methodologies don't look the same.

Here's why: Science attempts to extent knowledge into unknown areas at the most basic level of knowledge. The most advanced technology is used to do that. The information is in the methods, not just the numbers. Scientists study procedures and interpret results in terms of those procedures.

For nonscientists to replace that complex process with their superficial assumptions will always be misrepresentation to a point of fraud. Fact checking is a form of fraud, not only in science but everywhere else.

Everyone is supposed to approach objective reality and unknowns in the same manner as scientists, even when more limited in depth. That means objective reality is always an open question to be criticized by anyone who disagrees.

Yet there is more and more dogmatism in imposing a version of reality onto everyone based on the claim or assumption that some source could not be in error. It's always the pass-throughs who get dogmatic. The sources are always more hesitant. A two stage process promotes corruption much more thoroughly than single sources can.

It means there needs to be improved standards in how realities are handled. To impose is always a corruption. To disallow criticism is always a corruption. To fact check is always a corruption. Facts are not checkable; they are always assumptions.

Rationality is explaining claims. Anyone who cannot explain their claims has no business imposing their assumptions onto anyone.
