Carbon dioxide and other so-called greenhouse gases only absorb long-wave radiation, not the sun's radiation. The long-wave radiation is only emitted by cold substances such as the surface of the Earth. Almost no radiation is emitted from cold substances for "greenhouse gasses" to absorb.

In physics, the assumption that carbon dioxide was heating the atmosphere was background trivia until the Kiehl-Trenberth model locked it in during the 1990s. The Kiehl-Trenberth model applies the Stefan-Boltzmann constant to radiation emitted by the Earth showing an extreme amount of radiation.

Physicists already knew that 8% of that radiation leaving the surface of the Earth would be absorbed by carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. So the Kiehl-Trenberth model was the proof to physicists that carbon dioxide is heating the planet.

With that proof, a simple observation drove the point home, which was an observable dip in the absorption spectrum for planet Earth showing what carbon dioxide does. To physicists, the dip for carbon dioxide in the absorption curve meant radiation was not escaping the atmosphere at that wavelength—the proof on top of proof used to bowl over opponents.

With two proofs in hand, physicists needed a result to show the public. So they contrived mathematics which says the temperature of the atmosphere will increase by one degree centigrade for each doubling of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has approximately doubled since the industrial revolution began around 1850.

That number was produced through so-called radiative transfer equations. The procedure was the standard slop that incompetents in physics have been using for more than a century for milking the public. With two proofs to rest on, any contrivance that convinces the public with numbers would do.

But that was yesterday; and it all collapses with more detailed analysis exposing physicists for the incompetent frauds that they are.

To start with, the Stefan-Boltzmann constant shows about 40 times too much radiation being given of by normal-temperature matter. With the Stefan-Boltzmann constant in use for more than a century, no one is going to tell physicists that it is not fact.

The Stefan-Boltzmann constant shows the equivalent of five 100 watt incandescent light bulbs worth of radiation being given off by one square meter at normal temperatures. That's about half of a table top. A person would need to wear sunglasses to eat food. Physicists were unphased.

So another calculation using the Stefan-Boltzmann constant shows that one square meter of ice gives off about the equivalent of three 100 watt light bulbs. That means you could heat a house by putting ice on the floor. Ice on the floor of a small kitchen would emit as much radiation as 8 space heaters at full power. Eight space heaters would fry a small kitchen in nothing flat.

So the Stefan-Boltzmann constant shows too much radiation by a long ways. That means the Kiehl-Trenberth model is not correct as the science for scientists.

On top of that, the dip in the absorption spectrum for CO2 has no meaning, because there are about 150 dips in the absorption spectrum and they tell nothing. The assumed trapped energy gets re-emitted at the broadband wavelengths of thermal radiation. That means there is no trapping of heat by carbon dioxide.

So physicists are left with nothing but radiative transfer equations which were nothing but slop for fools. With proofs for a foundation, a little slop science might just be a cute trick for getting the public behind the issue. With false proofs which fall apart, the fakery becomes inexcusable fraud.
