So-called renewable energy sources are promoted as being cheaper and more practical than other energy sources. But the visible expense of renewables is extreme, while the invisible expenses are worse.

The need for fraud shows that the truth would not be acceptable. But supposedly, propagandists know more of what is good for everyone than people know for themselves.

The most visible expense is the price of electricity. The price is ten times higher with only a small amount of renewables added to normal sources, as shown in Europe and the U.S. No one could miss it, while propagandists pretend otherwise.

The maximum percent renewables that can be mixed with normal sources is always 15%. That's because electrical systems will not tolerate more than 15% variation, and fluctuations caused by renewables are too rapid and extreme even for backup systems.

Germany was more than a decade ahead of the U.S. with renewables. They peaked out at 15% renewables long ago and could not go farther. Their price at 15% renewables was about 50¢ per kilowatt hour, while coal-sourced electricity in the U.S. was generally about 4¢ pkwh.

So Germany tried to switch back to coal plants in an attempt to keep their economy running. But the greens flew into their faces and shut them down. So Germany tried to get natural gas from Russia; and someone blew up the pipelines. So Germany is now in the process of dismantling their economy, while they used to be holding together the entire economy of the European Union. How does the price of that result calculate? By trillions of dollars? Quadrillions? For mockeries of science and technology by know-nothings?

The economics of the fraud are no different in the U.S. or anywhere else, because the purpose is not just expensive, it is up against a wall of impossibilities. The largest reason is the transmission lines.

No one can construct transmission lines for renewables due to the expense, beyond showpieces forced onto someone and subsidized. There has been a shortage of transmission lines in the U.S. for decades, even with normal sources due to the insurmountable expense. And that's with fossil fuels moved to the cities for generating electricity to eliminate most of the requirements for transmission lines.

The unmeetable expense is a reflection of the unavailability of the metals. There isn't enough metal on planet Earth to build the transmission lines that would be needed. Not only are renewables hundreds or thousands of miles from end-point users but much of the electricity would need to be strung along highways for electric vehicles.

The impossibility of creating charging stations along highways is compounded by the need to put the lines at or below ground level. Overhead lines can be as much as two million volts. At that voltage, electricity will arc about five or ten feet to anything nearby depending upon humidity in the air. So underground lines can only go up to twenty thousand volts, unless an extreme amount of insulating material is used, which cannot be strung for millions of miles along highways.

So the simple math says this: Divide two million volts by twenty thousand volts; and the number is 100. That means a one inch wire overhead would approximately need to be replaced with a 100 inch, 8.3 foot, diameter wire underground for the same amount of energy. Have you ever seen an 8.3 ft diameter wire?

The lines cannot go overhead at high voltage, because getting the electricity to ground level and lower voltage would require a several-million dollar substation for each charging station. That's why there are no charging stations along highways and never will be, beyond fake showpieces someplace.

There are probably five or ten million engineers and scientists who know these facts. Why have they been silenced and replaced by know-nothing frauds? It's because of the power mongering that converted Reaganism into fascism being transformed by Trumpism into Nazism.
