Complaints against social media are endless, while no redeeming value is mentioned. The complaints show the nature of the problem. Propaganda is promoted on social media unlike anyplace else. That's because pushing a button multiplies the content almost infinitely. That process serves disinformation, terrorism and Nazism but does nothing to promote rationality.

Rationality is not increased through that mechanism. Rationality requires individuals making choices instead of someone else doing their deciding for them. Indoctrination is the result of someone else deciding what people need to know. Stripping choices away from people is always a path to decadence.

What keeps the information providers on a correct path? Nothing does. That's why the complaints are endless. The path to corruption is open-ended in that process.

Now the increasing pressure to sanction content has spread to so-called climate disinformation. Oil companies are supposedly indoctrinating the unwary on climate. There has been nothing but fraud allowed in the media on climate for twenty years. Now that fraud is supposed to be the only version of reality on climate that is allowed on social media.

That means social media is supposed to be a propaganda tool rather than a reality correcting tool. It takes criticism to correct errors. No criticism on climate fraud has been allowed in journalism for two decades. So now the frauds are concerned that counter realities might appear on social media.

Two sides fighting with each other is not a form of rationality. When social media is assumed to have no other purpose than promoting a predetermined set of realities, there is no rationality process involved.

While social media is being promoted by pouring endless resources into it, the normal internet is being reduced to nonfunctionality. The internet used to be called "the information super highway." All it is being used for anymore is advertisement, kiddie questions and authoritative web sites. Everything else is so close to invisible that it drives internet businesses to Amazon as their only method of being visible.

It's no accident. When searching a subject, the process is cut off after getting through the promotional material.

The obvious reason why the real internet is being replaced by social media is because power mongers need to prevent rationality from contradicting their frauds and generating the truth that condemns them as the incompetent corrupters that they are.

There has been no one but nonscientists speaking on climate for twenty years. Real scientists have been silenced; and fake scientists remain in the background allowing know-nothings to imposing fraud upon society.

So now the drive is to prevent opponents from using social media to contradict the frauds on climate.
