Sociology Of Corruption  76

What Happened To Communication

November 25, 2022

Communication was supposed to be an exacting process. It was taught in the schools, first as grammar, then as writing essays, then as research articles. The standards were inviolably aligned upon the purpose of clarifying communication. There is no longer evidence of such a process existing in social communication.

Demanding communication requires the written medium and nothing but the written medium. The verbal medium has a different purpose related to subjective elements of concerns.

What happened was the overthrow of the social order by incompetent corrupters. Corruption cannot exist where truth is produced through rationality. That means corrupters need to destroy the communication process to prevail.

The "big lie" and related frauds of conservative politics are not alternatives realities; they are weapons against constructive communication. Reality must be reduced to nonsense, before corruption can be the answer to social problems.

The most visible example of corrupt communication is appearing in journalism. Getting information from journalism now days requires extra effort to search through background material and meanings for symbols, because readers are being used instead of informed.

There are patterns to recent journalism which get more and more extreme in stripping information and relevance from a subject. As always, corruptions have a rationalistic bent. There is supposedly a need to get the readers interest by starting off articles with personal interest material, metaphorically, the cat stories. But stories have a tendency to never end, while readers waste time looking for a point made in the click-baiting titles.

The destruction of the internet as the "information super highway" it was supposed to be and replacement with social media was a systematic attack upon communication. The motive was the first problem to show up, as the early search engine operators were going ballistic over "getting the crazies off the internet." That means the power mongers in control couldn't tolerate so much information flowing outside their control.

The process of getting the crazies off the internet by destroying the internet has been continuous since the origins of the public internet. Searching now days is limited distraction nonsense. Usually, there is a band with the same name as the search terms; and page after page will be occupied on the gossip related to that band. After around 200 listing, the process is cut off. So there is no way to dig deeper to find something relevant. In the listing will be kiddy questions, which have nothing to do with searching, along with official web sites and promotional material.

Another tactic is making information impossible to extract from descriptions. Numerous subjects will be combined into one long article making it impossible to find what you are looking for. The most inappropriate material will be at the top, including historical trivia that only three specialists in the world would care about. Then if the desired point can be located, it will be trivialized down to a quip that tells nothing.

Those tactics show the motive in destroying communication. Corrupters want a void to operate in, so related realities don't expose them as the corrupters that they are. In that void, forces prevail over realities.

That means the communication processes and journalism are being reduced to rubble, so corrupters can take over the social order by operating in a force medium with no accountability for their corruptness.
