Trumpism is about the persons instead of the realities. A disconnect from objective reality says the person is the only thing that matters, and then lies are exploitable in advancing the person.

Why Trump the person? Because he's "on our side." Lying to get there becomes a virtue as a weapon against opponents.

What puts Trump on their side? Superficially, it's grievance politics, as journalists have been saying. But subconsciously, corrupters want to see someone more corrupt than themselves in power, so there is no danger of truth and rationality being imposed upon them.

It's a truism that truth gradually increases on any fraud. That means the nature of Trumpism is gradually being revealed, as Trump's influence becomes more exposed.

What is being revealed and admitted over time is that the promoters of Trump's big lie—that the election was stolen from Trump—is that at least a significant part of Trump's promoters know that superficially they are lying but that Trump is so important that all else must be sacrificed to put him in power.

That phenomenon is always a part of, or potential in, the human society. There is always a group of persons who assume putting the right person in control is the only way to manage human affairs.

So a significant, probably vast majority, of Trump's followers assume Trump is the right person to be in control and normalcy must be sacrificed by lying to keep him in control.

Notice the fact that such persons do not exist for the usual politicians; it's only someone such as Trump that brings out that set of beliefs. So the purpose here is to explain why someone such as Trump brings out that set of assumptions.

First, Trump's followers identify with Trump. He speaks their language, because he is similar to them. Why isn't the average politician similar to them? That part has been thoroughly discussed in the media. The types of persons who are attached to Trump are the left-outs, the flown-overs, who are rebelling against being left out and see Trump as an opportunity to be relevant.

The bigger question is why that mentality is so locked-in and so unusual in its manifestations. It's basically the demagogue mentality. Somehow a left-out, flown-over person must acquire power to allow the left out, flown-over persons to see themselves in power.

Another element of the question is that such persons must see someone who is worse off than themselves as the champion of their cause. That's because their cause is not how to produce a better product or social order but to find someone who is not going to be producing the intolerable truth that destroys their way of life through the thing liberals call rationality.

A law of existence is that truth only destroys what needs to be destroyed. (The fake truth of haters does not.) That's the essence of the absurdity of Trump type demagoguery. It means the solution to the truth problem must be the most heinous of criminals and destroyers of truth to be reliably on the side of the persons responding to demagoguery.

Obliterating existing social structures is assumed to be part of the solution, because all of ordered existence enhances the dreaded results of rationality. Only the person becomes relevant under such conditions. Corrupters promote persons, not results.

The promoters of Trumpism don't particularly like Trump; they only like what he stands for. That's an underlying principle of all corruption. Corrupters are at each other's throats when nothing else matters, but they align with each other for the larger cause of destroying the threat of rationality and it's products in truth and ordered existence.

It means corrupters must see more evil in the demagogue who they follow that in themselves. Only a high degree of evil can assure corrupters that the promotion of their cause will be assured and more importantly that the demagogue is not going to be producing some intolerable truth about the nature of corruption.

Of course all causes include the go-along persons who don't have a clue as to what is going on but are drawn to the power of numbers. There are such persons who only see Trump as an unusual source of power with no clue as to what evil is.

Corruption Is A Disconnect From Reality

Promotion of corruption as power mongers taking over the social structures and resulting fascism is preposterous in terms of the realities involved; but it happens because of the disconnect from reality that shapes corruption. Disconnected persons align upon motives and related forces in conflict with the surrounding realities.

That means Trumps followers have no clue as to the consequence of turning the government over to a government destroyer and Nazi want-to-be. All they see is someone on their side with the same values and purposes—the purpose of not being shoved out of existence and responding by destroying the enemies who are shoving them out of existence.

No one knows they are shoving destroyers out of existence but the destroyers themselves. All anyone else is doing is demanding minimal standards in corrupters not destroying everything they touch. Corrupters cannot live with constructive standards, so they get shoved out of existence where constructive standards are demanded.

That reaction is as old as human existence. The only thing that changed recently is the amount of power corrupters acquired. They used to suppress their concerns out of view; but with increasing fascism, they find that they do not have to conceal their concerns and can take over the government with their corrupt standards and purposes.

Trump and sycophants destroyed the bureaucracies in every way possible including reducing staff, shoving out experienced and qualified persons, sometimes moving the offices out of Washington and ultimately defying the laws and rules required for accomplishing the assigned tasks of the bureaucracies. After four years of that, Trump's followers see nothing wrong with it, because corrupters assume they need to eliminate ordered existence to acquire a dominating position in society. What it leads to, they don't have a clue.
