Corrupters are driven by a self-righteous determination to correct something through corruption. That force was highly visible with Trump and his sycophants. Trump assumed he was the only one who ever tried to solve problems related to the greatness of America. He assumed he was the first one to do anything he tried to do.

The astounding feature of that attitude is the missing five thousand years of human activity that evolved as the solution to problems. Trump had a different method of solving problems and assumed no other method existed. Laws and science were irrelevant to his method of doing things.

The reason why that happens is missing reality which is replaced with a rudimentary concept on how to solve problems. Corrupters start from scratch in trying to figure out how to solve their problems. But worse, they assume the answers must be in corruption, because they have no reality on what humans have been doing for five thousand years.

Without a reality basis, the solution to problems is assumed to be in the promotion of motives. Promoting motives means advancing oneself. Doing what advances oneself must be the answer to problems in the assumptions of corrupters.

What if they got their assumptions wrong? How could they get assumptions right with no reality on what humans have been doing for five thousand years?
