The Meaning Of Laws

August 13, 2023

Rational persons created laws to prevent intolerable results, usually due to corruption but sometimes due to carelessness or need for ordered complexities. Corrupters cannot tolerate anything related to rationality. So they assume their enemies created laws to take advantage of them.

Rationality is making relationships between realities—the same as reason. Explaining claims is the most important element of rationality. That process results in alignment upon the objective realities of the universe which define life and solutions to problems.

The process of producing rationality exposes corrupters as the incompetent destroyers that they are. So they use methods which defy and destroy rationality. Seldom do they dare oppose laws directly, since so many laws are obviously needed. And since corrupters speak in opposites to protect themselves from truth, they generally take the political position of supposed law-and-order and reducing crime. Reducing crime means fighting a war against the lower classes, not hiring more police. When liberals spend more money on the police, conservatives take back the funding when they acquire power.

Now that fascism has acquired a foothold in government and society, conservatives are not concealing their contempt for laws. When Trump was impeached twice for violating important campaign laws designed to prevent totalitarianism from overwhelming the elections process, conservatives said the differences were nothing but a life-style dispute. They assume lawlessness should be a life-style.

In place of laws conservatives want to be able to impose their values and whims upon everyone. They see no difference between their impositions and rational persons writing laws, as they assume the laws have no other purpose than defeating them. They are almost right in that laws attempt to defeat corruption plus a few more purposes.

What corrupters get wrong is not realizing that if they were to succeed at their attempts they would destroy themselves sooner rather than later. They have no concept of consequences, because they live in a minute by minute bubble attempting to prevail over opponents. Anything beyond that is beyond their awareness or concerns.

Reagan said, if you have to explain, you are already a loser. That means he assumed being a winner is the purpose of life and producing rationality is for fools. He also said government is the problem. He meant the laws of government are the problem, not the use of government for personal power as totalitarians do.

So the Reaganites proceeded to dismantle laws as so-called deregulation. They said they were getting rid of eighty years of liberalism gone awry. (Rationality and liberalism are assumed to be the same thing by conservatives.) Eighty years before 1981, robber barons had taken over the social order and laws were being produced to prevent that result. Also included in the wrath of the conservatives were the social programs produced along the way.

That process started "the Reagan revolution." After 43 years of ceaseless attack upon laws and social programs, the present state of fascism was the result. Trump broke through the political barriers to fascism by allowing conservatives to do anything they please, while he ignored government and spent his time attacking enemies.
