Defining Fascism July 29, 2023 It's important to define fascism, as fascism has become the overwhelming political force, while a lot of persons don't admit such. Commenters want to define fascism in terms of their field of study. Historians want to define it in historical terms. I'm a moral philosopher in addition to an independent scientist; so I want to define fascism in moral terms. There are logical reasons for doing so. Fascism is the socialization of corruption. All corruption heads in the same direction and aligns upon the same purposes with the same forces involved, even though each person involved will have somewhat different realities in their head due to their disconnect from reality. Where those forces head to is always the same. It's the destruction of everything. In the human society, the destruction of everything can only go so far. The wall that it hits was demonstrated by Nazism. So Nazism is the example that shows how far corruption can be carried under conditions that exist in a technological society. Since fascism is the label that was used for countries that did not quite get to Nazism, particularly Italy, it means fascism is the proper label for the state of corruption that has not yet reached Nazism. These points supersede historical, political or general philosophical points, because the force involved in fascism is totally defined by the corruption that drives it. All politics and defined meaning is defied by corrupters in marching toward Nazism through fascism. Trump is more of a Nazi in character than Hitler was. That means Trump tosses aside normal standards or ordered existence much more readily than Hitler did. Hitler tried to reconstruct a political state; Trump does not. Trump simply attacks and degrades with no concern for social or political standards. In fact, Trump does not control the persons who join his cause. Trump disconnects from everything. His position in government was nothing but a name. All that the government did during his presidency was done by other persons, while Trump did nothing but attack enemies. It was because of Trump's disconnect from everything complex and ordered that fascism flared up uninhibitedly under his authority. Normal politicians have a history of commitments and claims which limit their corruptness. Trump had no such limitations. That meant conservatives were free to do what they long wanted to do but were restrained by political forces in the past. Those restraints disappeared under Trump. The first presidency of Trump had limitations imposed externally by laws and expectations. The second presidency of Trump's will have no limitations. The forces have all been tested and bowled over; so the fascists are ready to act in defiance and contempt for any forces that get in their way the second time over.
