The talk about humans going to Mars is total fakery. It's like claiming to jump over a building. It's so ridiculous that it creates a sociology study on how power mongers use fakery for promoting their power.
Similar is the problem of related technology not being up to the task. Now days, the engineers couldn't design their way out of a wet paper sack, because competent persons have been shoved out of the social structures. A telling example is the latest aircraft carrier having only one elevator for moving aircraft to the surface, when there was supposed to be eight. The original elevators were designed for magnetic lifts, while there is no such thing as a magnet lift and never will be. Even if journalists misstated the problem when it was motors, motors cannot be synchronized due to variations in acceleration, force transformation and delays. Or maybe the problem was that engineers assumed electric motors get 96% efficiency, as bureaucrats require by law, when electric motors only get 25% efficiency under operating conditions. Then almost four times as much electricity would be needed, while ships cannot produce four times as much electricity after being constructed. Whatever it was, for engineers to not know such things means they are not qualified for designing new technology. Similarly, the latest battleships are rotting from the inside out due to electrolysis between dissimilar metals. Grounding used to remove the electron flows, but that wasn't done in the latest battleships. Why didn't the engineers have someone around who knew something about that subject? Because competent engineers where shoved out by power mongers. Yet a large undercurrent exists for supposedly sending humans to Mars. Bureaucratic know-nothings are financing preliminary procedures. Very telling is that they never get beyond the preliminaries. The preliminaries go on forever, because nothing real can be produced. Corrupt conspirators are that way. They claim to be working on futuristic projects with fantasy results which are always in the future. Renewable energy, electric vehicles and self-driving have made no significant progress in ten years; yet they are always portrayed to be on the edge of solving everyone's problems. And that is one of the purposes of the ridiculous claims of going to Mars. Supposedly the highest achievers know something that the rest of us don't know, and that is why society is supposed to spend endless amounts of money having them screw up the economy with their mindless schemes.

The first fact is that there isn't anywhere near enough concentrated energy in sources to be going anywhere in deep space. Look at the former space shuttle. It required a huge tank of liquid fuel plus two side rockets of solid fuel just to go into near-Earth orbit.
