The Trump followers are right; they were left behind. We all were left behind. Not because liberal democrats are pedophiles creating a deep state; but because incompetent power mongers took over the social structures and turned them into power structures for their personal gain at everyone else's expense.

Nonfunctionality is the cause of everyone's problems. Increased pay won't solve the problems. Labor unions are increasingly sought as solutions. But the employers cannot meet the demands, because everything is transitioning into a Nazi state of nonfunctionality.

From a distant and uninformed perspective, which is probably the most accurate now days, the Hollywood strike seems to tell the whole story. The produces bankrupted themselves and do not have solutions. The result might not look that way, when management pays themselves exorbitant gifts. But that trend is a desperate fix for a doomed economy.

What took down Hollywood was streaming. The whole idea is crazy. To exploiters, it looked like a rip off at first. Criminality always does, until the full effects become visible. There is no way to make streaming practical. But there is no way of going back to old fashioned broadcasting. So everyone loses.

Perhaps more basically, from a distant and uninformed view, the education system appears to be nonfunctional. Years ago, it was "the new math," which is no math at all. Then it was reading without phonetics, which is no reading at all. Kids were just supposed to pick up education out of the atmosphere.

Then when corporations decided to move off shore, they said they could not get employees. Cement heads said there are a lot of unemployed persons. But businesses said the unemployed were not educated to meet the purposes, because the education system is not working.

In other words, the new math and non-reading spread to all elements of education. But not in the "developing" world, where education is as strict as ever. So getting enough qualified workers in demanding areas requires a lot of foreign workers who are suitably educated.

But conservatives will here none of it. Foreign workers are said to take jobs from "Americans." So when conservatives acquired power during Trump years, they closed the doors to foreign workers in spite of howls from their friends in business.

When the U.S. had to face its education problem, it decided that testing would be the solution. How could testing nonfunctionality improve nonfunctionality? Supposedly, everyone would decide to solve the problems, once they found out that they needed to. The result was to waste everyone's time except the lily white privileged who could learn how to take the tests, while less time was devoted to teaching.

Conservatives interpret the problems in QAnon terms instead of their own leading the pack in turning social structures into nonfunctionality.

Rational persons created social structures as a method of getting complexities under control. Incompetent corrupters saw rationality as an attempt by "elitists" to take advantage of them including laws which benefit their enemies rather than themselves.

So now the incompetent corrupters are rebelling against ordered existence including the laws created by rational government, while blaming the liberals for creating their problems through some elitist assault called rationality.
