Falsehoods have been increasing, as social media produces information without knowledge. There is no definable method of evaluating information without knowledge. So a wide variety of interpretations is the result.

Information is superficial. It cannot be evaluated without knowledge. That's vulnerability to be exploited by frauds. They strip knowledge from claims to railroad realities.

Greenhouse gases are an infantile assumption railroaded onto society by know-nothing journalists who disallowed criticism with no ability to explain the science. Fact checking replaced explanations.

Fact checking strips explanations from claims. It's a new process that would have been abhorrent in the past. It showed up with social deterioration.

Rationality requires explanation of claims, so evaluation is possible. Real scientists can explain everything they know in terms the public can understand. Why then a railroad job of fake science and technology with no explanation of claims?

Science is so abstract that most scientists are incompetent. They go through the process acquiring information without knowledge.

Fake science and technology are totally dependent on disconnecting word salad from knowledge. The Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change (IPCC) serves that purpose. It dumps nonsense onto society with fake authority. Doing that wouldn't be possible if a basis of knowledge were developed for the claims.

Why isn't there a demand for explaining the underlying science? The reason is because power is assumed to be the source of truth and knowledge. That means putting incompetents in power is how fraud is railroaded onto society.

Reagan said, if you have to explain, you are already a loser. That means he assumed everyone is trying to be a winner (Think incompetent power mongers.) and rationality is for fools (Think absence of knowledge.).

Persons who are trying to be winners substitute nonsensical information for knowledge. There is no stable meaning for information without knowledge. Do you think "climate change" has stable and clear meaning? Every problem is attributed to carbon dioxide in the air by someone.

The omission of explanations with claims is a definable property of incompetent frauds. No one with a trace of self-respect would force people to accept claims without enough information to allow evaluation. That means anyone who does not explain is a power mongering fraud.

Fake science and technology have been railroaded onto society because of the assumption that information is truth and knowledge when it comes from power mongers. It's the other way around. Nothing can be truth and knowledge when it comes from power mongers, because the purpose of mongering power is to dominate. People cannot function constructively when being dominated by power mongers.

Rationality prevents power from existing, because rationality is a relationship to the objective realities of the universe which define life and solutions to problems. Humans disappear as sources of reality in that process. When humans are the source of reality, they are disconnected from the objective realities of the universe. Explanations are links to the objective realities of the universe.

Erroneous thought results from authority sliding into power mongering. Authority applies to causative concerns, not sources of reality.

Reality checking science is perverse. No one tells scientists how to evaluate science; and know-nothings are going to decide for them? The same is true for "peer review" as truth. When a truth commission is not tolerated in politics, it isn't going to exist in science.
