The social conflict that is tearing the country apart is about ordered existence. The conflict evolved out of Reaganism, where Reagan said government is the problem. Government is the most significantly developed element of ordered existence.

The sharpest focus is evident in the conflict between legal processes and attack dogs who oppose laws being applied to them or their cause. Conservatives insist there is no legitimacy in the charges against Trump, while the nature of the problem is Trump's contempt for laws applying to himself.

Both impeachments of Trump clarified that difference. Democrats were meticulous in attempting to correct the standards of government by aligning upon laws which prevent totalitarianism from overwhelming democracy through misuse of government authority by Trump to get re-elected. Conservatives see no relevance to the process and say it was nothing but a life-style difference.

Seeing nothing but a life-style difference in such a serious threat to democracy is an attempt to reduce ordered existence to a totalitarian state where nothing but the self-contradictory whims of incompetent corrupters represent government and overwhelm the social order.

The same forces were amplified in the criminal charges against Trump after leaving office. Conservatives try to frame the whole process as a political "witch hunt" rather than its attempt to salvage rule of law in a deteriorating state of fascism.

Conservatives aren't questioning the facts, they are questioning the process. They are reiterating Trump's complaint that opponents are dealing unfairly with Trump. They see fairness only in terms of their group prevailing, not in terms of the damage they do to government and all who depend upon government including the victims of the war against the lower classes that conservatives focus their ideology on.

Within days of correcting the debt ceiling threat with some loss to the victims of injustice, conservatives were back to instigating reduction in taxes to corporations which pay almost no taxes after forty years of Reaganism cutting their taxes while ripping up social programs as too expensive.

Using a debt ceiling as a terrorist tactic for coercion is contempt for rule of law and ordered existence.
