Nothing destroys economies like pretense. The U.S. is running on pretense, while its competitors are running on development. Some attempt is being made to "bring back the manufacturing"; but it won't work with the social standards deteriorated by fantasizing.

Power is mongered by fantasizing, not by producing results. Real results benefit everyone, which leaves incompetent power mongers with nothing. Fantasizing glamorizes incompetent power mongers and puts them in control of our lives.

A defining principle of power mongering fantasy is a line between past and future, where the past has been nothing but decadence and the future is supposedly being shaped by breakthrough results. The breakthroughs are always in the future, like the apple in front of the horse.

Where is the renewable energy, after thirty years of windmills and solar panels? The reason for going off-shore with windmills is because there is no place left with enough breeze elsewhere. Putting a five or ten million dollar windmill in front of a 15 mile per hour breeze is crazy.

When they say eight megawatts, that's the maximum energy that could be produced before shutdown in a hurricane—that is, nameplate rating.

Windmills used to average 20% of nameplate rating, that is back when the most windy locations were available. Now the number could be anything, because frauds start at the desired end result and rationalize getting there. It gives them power—the power to lie—but does nothing for competitiveness.

So the U.S. is going to build advanced chips better than anyone else. It takes global markets to stay in business. The global markets don't work very well, after kicking everyone else in the face to get a better deal, not to mention trying to transplant the ecology eight thousand miles from sources. Can you spell eighth inch screw in Chinese characters, or determine whose relatives are producing them in what section of what town?

So the U.S. is going to reconstruct the manufacturing ecology in the U.S. They need to find the four billion workers before they start instead of after pouring the concrete. Not to mention finding the water before constructing in conservative paradise.

Liberals started on the water problem, before conservatives took over everything and changed the purpose of life to being winners by mongering power. Liberals were planning to either or both move icebergs into bays or melt northern ice with nuclear energy and pipe the water south. Ice constantly flows like a river into the oceans, which could be captured, but not at the standard that power mongers operate—wasting every last penny on a war against the lower classes to make sure nothing gets spent on social programs.
