An expert group was created to evaluate the relationships between heat waves and global warming. They did computer modeling which told them that the current heat waves have an element of global warming by greenhouse gases and would be impossible otherwise. It shows they don't have a clue what heat waves are.

A high pressure air mass off the west coast has been heating California for a long time.

Weathermen refer to the accumulated heat as a "heat dome." That's because a high pressure air mass creates the accumulated heat. High pressure does that, because it only exists when the air stops moving. Otherwise, moving air dissipates an accumulated mass of air.

When air stops moving, heat accumulates within it. It takes motion to replace the heat with average temperatures. The same is true over the oceans and over the land. When air stops moving over the oceans, evaporative cooling grinds to a halt. It takes wind blowing over the surface to create significant cooling by evaporation. That's why blowing on soup cools faster than letting it sit.

For several years, a high pressure air mass accumulated off the west coast of California creating high temperatures and drought in California. Nothing changes much, as long as there is no motion with the high pressure air mass. Heat cannot escape and accumulates without motion. As the heat accumulates, it increases the air pressure, because heat rises by convection causing the air mass to increase. As the temperature and pressure increase, accumulation of moisture cannot precipitate, which adds drought to the heat.

As the examples have been clearly showing, the absence of air motion causes those effects to occur. This year, such high pressure air masses have been parked over the west coast of Europe creating a similar heat wave. And the same thing has been happening in Asia causing heating in China.

At some point, the pressure drops due to changing environmental conditions and some movement of the air mass; and then the accumulated moisture in the air comes out all at once causing flooding. The floods following the droughts have been occurring systematically.

The fact that the floods follow the heating shows that a high pressure air mass parked in one place is the cause of the heating and drought. The floods following the heat and drought have been occurring in Europe and China in addition to the U.S.

Where do the fakes get global warming as climate change out of that process? Carbon dioxide in the air has no ability to stop air from moving, high pressure to form, accumulation of moisture in the air and then flooding.

It shows that the fakes who impose global warming fraud onto society don't have a clue what science is. And it shows that their fake studies, always based on modeling, which is nothing resembling science, use fraud as their methodology.
